We are the oldest queer student association in the Netherlands! With members from all over the world, we're a fun and gezellig association where students in Groningen can truly be themselves. Drop by during one of our many open drinks nights and events - everyone is welcome!
EVENTS
There is no shortage of things to do in Ganymedes. We organise a wide range of events, ranging from bowling to parties to presentations from experts in LGBTQ+ related topics. Additionally, we have drinks every Thursday at 9:00 PM. There's really something for everyone, every single month.
Nervous about going to an activity for the first time alone? Fear not, we have a Buddy System: a Gany member can meet up with you beforehand so that you can go together to the event.

As you might or might not be aware of, Ganymedes is going through a rocky period. We want to, however, keep organizing fun activities and great parties. So, on the 11th of April we are participating in a Sponsorrun. This sponsorrun is organized by Groninger Studenten Toneel, and meant to boost support for cultural associations in the city. Consider joining to raise money for beautiful Ganymedes!
Put on those running shoes, convince your committee or friend to run with you, and take your sponsorship form to your parents, neighbours, former classmates, or sports club. It is looking to be a beautiful sunny day!
The sponsor run will take place on Saturday the 11th of April at the Drafbaan, Stadspark. If you register, you will receive a document through WhatsApp on which you can collect sponsors. They can sponsor you per lap (500 meters) or with a fixed amount.

Zoals jullie misschien wel of niet weten, maakt Ganymedes een moeilijke periode door. We willen echter wel doorgaan met het organiseren van leuke activiteiten en geweldige feesten. We beginnen met een gezellige spelletjesavond en zetten de ontspannen sfeer voort met Cleopatra voor een leuke Baryoga-sessie. Daarna volgt onze HYGMA. De week erna is druk met een Maatcie activiteit, een boekenclub en een IQSN Dungeons & Dragons-activiteit in Utrecht. Vervolgens zijn er onze langverwachte Tedtalks, dus begin maar vast met het voorbereiden van je presentatie! Je staat deze maand niet alleen op het podium tijdens de karaoke, want onze karaoke is een duo-karaoke! Over duo's gesproken, we hebben een samenwerking gepland met The Blue Toes voor een ballroomdansles. Na al deze leuke activiteiten sluiten we de maand af met een informatieve sessie over het bestuur.

Do you feel like having a relaxing yoga session? Then you should participate in the bar yoga organized by Cleopatra A.S.G. and Ganymedes!
On March 4th, there will be a WiiFit yoga session in the upstairs bar at Kleine Pelsterstraat 5a. Doors open at 4:00 PM, and we'll start at 5:00 PM. Afterwards, you can join us for a pokebowl at 7:00 PM for €4. Take note! There are only 15 spots available for yoga.

Committees
Ganymedes has plenty of fun activities every month. Of course, this is only possible thanks to our wonderful committees, which consist of our members. They organise most of our activities, including the annual trip and introduction camp, but also support the board, by promoting events or processing complaints. Each committee is unique and every one of them presents its own fun challenges and opportunities. Plus, members of every committee get exclusive access to special Active Members events.
